In the steam generation process the feedwater enters the boiler where it is heated and becomes steam. The feedwater circulates from the steam drum to the water drum and is heated in the process. Some of the feedwater passes through tubes surrounding the furnace i.e. waterwall and floor tubes where it is and returned to the steam drum.
Starting your Miura boiler requires a number of procedures. It starts with turning on your break and opening the air bleed valve for five seconds to let out any trapped air. You also have to ensure the bottom blow down valve is closed and confirm that the feed water tank is roughly two-thirds full.
